The Safari Shop Hop is an annual Quilting Adventure held in counties surrounding the Kansas City, Missouri metro area. Each "Hopper" receives a Safari passport to be stamped at each participating shop. For those completing the Safari many prizes are available ranging from Gift Certificates to the Grand Prize - a $500 shopping spree at any of the shops.
Hoppers may collect the free quilt block pattern as they visit each shop. Each shop has a different block pattern. A common fabric to be used by each shop is determined during the planning meetings. Most shops will display all of the shops' blocks in a finished quilt. The block fabric kits and finishing kits including fabrics and finishing instructions are available to purchase, but not required. The block patterns are always free and of course, shopping at each shop is definitely allowed!
