Heritage Fine Fabrics opened for business June 2004. It is located on Historic Old Town Main Street in Belton, Missouri. The little white house in which Heritage resides sits next to an active church which was built in 1895.
My name is Connie Read, sole owner of Heritage. I grew up in this little town just south of Kansas City, Missouri and I live a few blocks away from the shop.
When I opened the shop my intent was to offer two types of fabrics: Quilting and Home Decorator. Four years later, I am closing out the Home Decorator line to make room for MORE quilting fabric (imagine that!). Currently, I have over 1800 bolts of quilting cottons, notions, books, patterns and batting.
Heritage offers classes, block of the month programs, including Thimbleberries and Moda U, hosts local quilting clubs and provides a work area for open sewing.
The monthly newsletter, "Sew You'll Know", is offered via e-mail in PDF format and will be archived on this web site for your convenience. Also, if you prefer, a hardcopy version can be mailed to you for a nominal fee of $5.00 per year. Contact me with your e-mail or mailing address.
